MEET DAN MERRIAM.
My investing career started in 2011 with my first real estate investments in the Toronto Area in Canada. This was well before the market’s explosive growth in starting in 2015. Over that decade, I was fortunate enough to ride a phenomenal wave, building a $15M real estate investment portfolio in Hamilton, ON that I independently owned and managed.
But, the success was dampened by six-digit tax bills, compounded by frustrating tenant and landlord laws and an increasingly complex municipal regulatory environment. Disenchanted with these challenges, in 2020 I made the difficult decision to leave Canada, seeking a new environment where I could live and invest more freely.

BECOMING A GLOBAL CITIZEN
After exploring 50+ countries and investing thousands of hours in real estate market research, tax planning, and goal setting, I made a life-changing decision to relocate to the Eastern Caribbean to the island of Antigua and Barbuda. Now, I share my insights and experiences to help others navigate the challenges of embracing an offshore lifestyle, emphasizing the significance of freedom, lifestyle and wealth creation.
